Keeping it Brief: Our Interview with “Daily Ad Brief”
Highlights + digital marketing tips and tricks
Recently, our Creative Director Ryan Geiger was interviewed by Daily Ad Brief to give his perspective on the ever changing nature of digital marketing and how Pinch assists our clients to stay ahead of the game. Daily Ad Brief is a great online source for digital marketing news, stories, and trends.
Their goal is to allow their readers and listeners to stay ahead of the game in digital marketing. Daily Ad Brief has interviewed hundreds of professionals in the marketing field like Michael Hoffman, Hannah Mizelle, and Hunter Young, and reports daily on news stories about marketing like how to succeed when doing video marketing, TikTok trends, and new marketing initiatives from top brands like McDonalds.
Ryan was interviewed by Charlene Shirk, host of Daily Ad Brief’s “Digital Champions”, a show where industry experts in the digital field are asked about their unique perspectives and provide tips and strategies for companies to stay ahead in the increasingly competitive digital landscape. Charlene is the CEO and Creative Director of C Shirk Productions and has ample experience in the marketing industry working for the PGA Tour and various news stations. She is an Emmy nominated writer and has received countless awards for her work in broadcasting.
Daily Ad Brief reached out to Pinch to get our perspective on the digital ad space and how we help our clients achieve huge ROI through engaging and informative social and digital ads. We couldn’t wait to share our tips and tricks with Charlene, here are a few memorable moments from the interview:
- If you’re new to Pinch, there’s one thing you must know about us: we are NOT an agency. Agencies often employ a “one size fits all approach” and large agencies don’t have the time to cater to clients’ specific needs. Pinch is different. We never want to barge in and take over your marketing…we want to work with you to enhance your marketing initiatives with award-winning content like social ads, animations, and rebranding ideas.
- Whether you have a specific pain point you’re trying to remedy or you just want someone to analyze your current marketing and suggest changes, Pinch is here to help! We’ve worked with tons of clients on projects from a slight logo change to a complete website overhaul.
- One important trend Ryan highlighted was the shift from “push” to “pull” marketing. For years, companies have “pushed” their brand on consumers with banner ads and paid media. In recent years, however, companies are increasingly “pulling” potential customers into their community with engaging content like social media videos, blogs, and emails. The idea of building a community has become a huge focal point of marketing and it’s something Pinch assists our clients with every day. With our fun videos, animations, branding ideas, and more, we help clients build their community and convert followers into customers.
- If you’ve read any of our previous blogs, you know how we feel about still images. We always say that “the still image star is dead”. Video is the new celebrity in the digital marketing world and it’s here to stay. Luckily we are video experts, specializing in anything from short social ads to full length product explainer videos. As Ryan mentioned, people are 27x more likely to click on video ads than standard banners. Furthermore, social video generates 1200% more shares than text and image content combined. If you’re serious about social, video is a necessity. Our short, fun social ads are the perfect way to boost your digital presence and get people excited about your business. Did we mention we can make them in as little as 72 hours?? Yep, agencies are shaking in their boots.
- One of Ryan’s final tips is huge. There are so many things you can do to enhance your digital presence, like recording short videos to announce new products instead of just posting still photos. After all, marketers who incorporate video into their campaigns experience 34% higher conversion rates. It’s important to allow customers to feel like they’re a part of your business instead of just shouting advertisements at them.
